(1) Lease and release for £360: Edward Bullyn of Hawkshurst in Caton, gent. to Robert Dalton of Thurnham, esq. -- Hawkshurst estate -- 14 & 15 Apr. 1691.

(2) Lease for 15 years at rent of £3.15s: Edward Riddell of Swinburn Castle, co.Northumberland, esq., to Charles Leah of Quarmore, yeoman -- liberty to win slates upon Black Fell in Caton - 1 Jan. 1714/15.

(3) Lease and release [copy] in consideration of an intended marriage and £1500.

(1) Thomas Riddell of Swinburn Castle., Esq., (ii) John Fenwick of Bywell, esq., and William Potter of Hawkswell, gent, (iii) Ralph Widdington of Chessburne Graings, esq., (iv) Mary W. of the same spinster. -- Grassyard Hall and the manor of Caton. -- 26 & 27 May, 1726.

(4) Lease for 6 years at rent of £18: Thomas Riddell (as above) to 10 colliers of Caton and Quarmore -- Grassyard and Sawkshead Collieries - 13 Jan. 1731/2.

(5) Lease (copy) for 7 years at rent of £12.12s. Thomas Riddell (as above) to Richard Gibson of Hollins Head in Quarmore, yeoman -- Grassyard and Hawkshead Collieries. - 2 May, 1741.

(6) Lease for 2 lives at rent of £1.10s: Thomas Riddall of Gwainburn Castle to Edward and Ralph R -- messuage called Haukshurst, otherwise Hauksworth -- 1 May 1750.

(7) Release for various considerations: (i) Ralph Riddell of Chessburn Graings (ii) Edward R. of Swinburn Castle, (iii) Thomas R. of the same -- lands in Caton and Aldclyffe.- 14 Nov.1759.

(8) Declaration of trust: re small tithes of Caton - 17 Dec. 1762.

(9) Grant of small tithes of Caton: William Wilson Carus Wilson of Casterton Hall, esq., to Abraham Tyzack Rawlinson of Rangers Lodge, Forest of Whichwood, co.Oxford, esq.-- 31 Jul. 1804.

(10) Surrender of water rights in the River Calder to the lord of the manor of Wakefield - 8 Jun. 1822.

(11) "Contents of Iron Chest" - a list of deeds - 1828.

(12) Lease for 14 years at rent of £58: John Edmondson of Grassyard Hall. esq., to Joseph Wright the younger of Forge Cottages, Caton, cotton manufacturer -- estate called Borwicks -- 23 Jan. 1844.

(13) Conveyance (copy) of lands, lords-rents and manorial rights in hereditaments in Littledale: John Edmondson and Thomas Grassyard Edmondson, to John Dodson -- 17 Feb. 1866.
