From: Richard Wroe, Warden, and Fellows of the College To: John Siddall of Slade, Yeoman Messuage and tenement called 'Kenyons' in Kirkmanshulme, formerly held by Joseph Kenyon, decd, since held by Abraham Kenyon, Clerk, now held by John Siddall, together with all parcels of land belonging thereto, known as: the Three Acres, The two Marld Fields, the Barne Flatt and Orchard, the Meadow, the Wood, the Piline, the higher bank and the lower banke. Containing 21 acres. Consideration: surrender of current interest and estate, and a valuable sum of money. Term: from 16 Apr 1695 for 21 years. Rent: 21s per annum at the feasts of Christmas and St John the Baptist in even portions, and one capon or hen at Christmas. Conditions: Repossession if rent late by 40 days. Lessee may extract marl, quick set, and take from the premises sufficient timber for maintenance, by licence from the Warden and Fellows. Lessee to maintain premises at own expence and not to alien without licence. Signed: George Ogden, Richard Wroe, Warden, and Francis Mosley. Seal: missing.
