'Chart of the Harbour of Castle Townsend [Castletownshend]’. Chart shows coastline, hydrography, anchorages, topography, vegetation, settlements, land marks, sight lines, remarks and explanatory key. Includes an illustration of a ship at anchor. Colour manuscript. Magnetic north point. Scale: 4 inches to 0.5 geometrical mile. 'Copied from the Survey of Captain [Martin] White by Henry M [Mangels] Denham, Midshipman'; signed: 'Martin White Captn [Captain] RN [Royal Navy]'. Estimated date: based on the career of Captain Martin White. Recieved by the Hydrographic Office prior to 1826, according to Lieutenant Alexander Becher
