Description (What the record is about)

The Finance Committee was created in 1904 when a committee was formed to administer the Central MU Fund. As the MU grew the Committee became responsible for administering the spending and investment of membership subscriptions, the funding of the building and maintenance of Mary Sumner House and the salaries and pensions of its workers throughout the world. In the 1994 the work of the Finance Committee was transferred to the new Central and Financial Services Unit.
