Mr Ward responded after having seen the Eccles Exhibition in Eccles Library, just opposite his Bakers shop. See attached sheet for further details about depositor's father's family.
Mr Ward runs T. F. Ward & Sons, Bakers shop which was started by his father, Thomas Frederick Ward, who came to Salford in 1923, living in Ellor Street. His family all came from the Lake District and were farmers in the Sedburgh area.
Mr Ward's aunt married into the Armistead family, also Bakers and lived near Salford. At one time, one of the depositor's Armistead relations owned nine shops in the Greater Manchester area.
