The following documents relate chiefly to parcels of land at Ashey which the Oglanders purchased from the owners of the manor of Ashey and Ryde, and added to their farm at Hardingshute, which was only divided from Ashey by the Smallbrooke stream. Aldermoor Farm (40 acres) purchased in 1739 and Milhouse in 1822 are larger holdings on the borders of Ryde, which were let as separate farms.
