Description

Letter from J.P. to W.P.G. stating that the contracts have been exchanged and the deposit of £1500 paid. He forwards the cheque which is to be put in a "suspense" account in the names of Mr Pugh & Mr Ratcliff. The Master of the Rolls has risen for the Long Vacation, but leave has been obtained to present the petition for confirmation of the Contract to the Vacation Judge on 18th inst. Mr Gelson has arranged with Mr Bruff to supply him with funds to carry on the Works, and J.P. has intimated that the Vendors will not object to Mr Bruff carrying out urgent repairs to the premises. Mr Bruff of Messrs Finney, Bruff & Cass, son of the purchaser leaves England on 12th inst., for the U.S.A. He will be away for about 2 months so it will not be possible to advance the matter in the meantime. However, in the intervening period the accounts should be prepared so that as soon as the offices open in November the Receiver may be discharged and the balance of the purchase money paid.
