presumed dead 24/9/1918 - evidence of death provided by 2/Lt FO Rhodes, 25 MGC,(POW at Pforzheim) killed by a sniper bullet instantaneously,about 4.30pm 23/3/1918, S.W.of Monchies. My orderly saw him killed. Stated to be buried 100 yds from the Bapaume-Cambrai Road.
Statement by 16755 Pte P Riley 25 Bn - saw him shot through the neck, dying within two minutes.
