Description: To John Redgrave (described as in PA/101/11/837) from Isaac Smith (late of [Walsgrave-on-] Sowe but now of Wolvey, Warws., gent.) that within three calendar months he should pay £500 principal plus interest under a 27th. Sept., 1860 mortgage for land at Hope St., St. Martin's pa., Birmingham (abutting at the back onto land belonging to Sir Edward [Sherlock] Gooch, Bt. and let to Joseph Jarvis; adjoining on one side Gooch's premises let to J. Redgrave, and on another Gooch's leasehold to Messrs. George & Griffiths) with a 15-yd. frontage, 36yd. 1ft. deep on George & Griffiths' side and 36yd. 3in. on Redgrave's (totalling 544 sq.yd.), plus the houses thereon. 16th. Feb., 1862. Memorandum by W.D. Lister that that day he served a duplicate notice on Mrs. Redgrave.
