Album of B&W images illustrating progress with the construction of the Otto Beit Bridge (since renamed the Chirundu Bridge) over the Zambesi River at Chirundu.
Images included show stone being quarried by workers, foundations being laid, men at work in various excavations in the ground, the straw huts in the workers village, cables being set, vehicles trying to traverse mud tracks and various views of the completed bridge and the plaque set in the stone pillar of Sir Otto Beit, whom the bridge was named after. -
