Aston University records

These records, which include minutes, ledgers, photographs, letters and more, document the development and activities of Aston University and its predecessor institutions: the Birmingham Municipal Technical School (1895–1927), Birmingham Central Technical College (1927–1951), the College of Technology Birmingham (1951–1956), and the College of Advanced Technology (1956–1966). There are significant collections of general and class registers that record student information, as well as academic programmes and prospectuses . There is also an extensive number of documents relating to governance including minutes of the council and senate, as well as various committees such as the finance committee. The collection also includes a substantial number of photographic and media material.
