Thanking her for her “long looked for letter” of three weeks ago. Glad that she had good weather for the harvest. Sybil getting flying bombs but Southampton remains quiet although there was a siren warning about 2 weeks before. Expresses hope that Sybil may come and visit the family. Glad to hear that Mrs P’s sister is to move nearer to her.
Tells Sybil that the street lights have been re-erected in Southampton as far as Winn Road. “How nice when it is all over, may it be soon”
