Apart from deeds of title which form the major part of this volume, there will also be found typescript extracts from the journals of G. P. Burstow relating to the digging of Fishbourne Roman Palace (Add Mss 12083); Minute Books of the Chichester Conservative Association, 1868-1955 (Add Mss 12084-12090); a diary kept by members of the Tompkins family, 1768-1814 (Add Mss 12091); and papers relating to parliamentary election expenses, 1922-1929, (Add Mss 12092-12094). The documents range in date from extents and court roll of the manor of Mundham, 1279 (Add Mss 12235-12237), to G. P. Burstow's journal, 1961-1968
