INTRODUCTION
The contents of this file were formerly in a portfolio (192) entitled:
cA6 / General / Correspond’ce
ST / 1787 to 1818.
Under Matthew Robinson Boulton’s scheme of arrangement, the file was placed in Box M. III.
The documents are arranged in four chronological sequences, as follows:
Letters, S. (1-102)
Letters, T. (103-145)
Copies, S. (146-173)
Copies, T. (174-191)
Each series of Copies was contained in a yellow paper wrapper, but these do not survive. (One was attached to the copy of Boulton’s letter, 16 Nov. 1800)
In the following List, the copy documents are all press-copies, unless stated otherwise; the summaries in quotation-marks are taken from the contemporary dockets.

MBP 255/228 & MBP 257/90 - These items are modern transcripts, given a number in the old sequence. Now Removed.
