Description

These pocket diaries were kept by Edith between 1922 and 1980. In them she recorded her daily activities, family events and feelings about her life.

The years 1922-1951 and 1953-1980 are represented in the diaries, and the collection also includes a handwritten list of Bernard's ailments, 1936-77 and a handwritten account of Bernard's activities, her comings and goings from Birklands and his divorce, 1970-1975.

There is also a photograph of man in an ornate box with metal clasps (who could be Edith's father who died in the 1920s).
