Corporal George Knight and William Bigwood, both of 13th Foot; pleaded guilty to assault against John Baker: fined 1d. each.

Richard Woolridge, als Woodridge, of St Kew, labourer; convicted of stealing one buckskin breeches, value 6d., from William Burrows: 10 days' custody and whipping.

John Nettell of St Austell, mason; convicted of stealing 18 lbs of sheet lead, value 6d., from Thomas Carlyon, clerk: to be whipped.

Ruth Sampson, als Davies, of Gerrans, spinster; convicted of stealing 3 yards of canvas, value 3d., from John Odgers: to remain in bridewell for 1 month, then be privately whipped.

Martha Pascoe of Constantine, single woman, having been committed to bridewell for refusing to swear the father of her female bastard child, declared on oath that the child was born at Constantine on 1 April 1777, and that Christopher Hoskin of Constantine, yeoman, was the father: discharged.

Stephen Williams; committed to bridewell for abandoning his family: to be discharged.
