Page 2: C The decision today on gearboxes is that only one is being considered for all the new cars, namely the YA Pre-selector fitted with electrical control. 2 Miscellaneous development proposals: (a) Consideration is now being given to an electrical/hydraulic control for the pre-selector gearbox which we hope will eliminate pedal control. Production: Our programme since the 1 August 1950 calls for 45 car per week. Finished cars 44.4 per week. It is clear that we have been living on our own fat and the high spots today are the supply of crankcases and certain stampings. It is thought that out of a total of 2,214 cars manufactured in the current financial year, at least 990 will have to be sent to the Home Market
