Parish of St Leonards St Mary Magdalen

The present building was constructed in 1852, and enlarged in 1872. The parishes of Christ Church and St Mary Magdalen were amalgamated in 1980, and the church of St Mary Magdalen was declared redundant in 1981. It is now (2004) the Greek Orthodox Church, Community of Hastings.

It is possible that PAR473/30-32 below, which relate to the parish's civil functions and were transferred to ESRO by Hastings Museum, had in fact passed to Hastings Corporation and not been deposited at the Museum by the parish.
