The Works Sub-Committee was appointed to advise the main committee on matters of public works including staffing, roads and footpaths, drainage, sewers and reservoirs. The Plans Sub-Sub-Committee also reported to this sub-committee, and was appointed in December 1912 to advise the sub-committee on the viability of building plans submitted for the approval of the Council. The committee met frequently, with the minutes giving a list of the plans supplied and whether or not approval was given.
