Description

Correspondence and papers relating to the life of John Stott, selected by Stott to be lent to Timothy Dudley-Smith to assist with his biography. Includes material relating to Stott's childhood, family, and various aspects of his career including: University missions; his ministry at All Souls Langham Place; the first National Evangelical Anglican Congress in 1967; the writing of books and articles. Also contains correspondence of a pastoral and spiritual nature, and biographical files bringing together a variety of papers relating to Stott's activities.

Note

Contains papers originally stored with the main papers of John Stott, but which were extracted and lent to Timothy Dudley-Smith for the purposes of his biography of Stott. The papers were returned to Stott in his lifetime and came to Lambeth Palace Library as part of the main Stott accession, but have been retained as a seperate sub-fonds due to their time out of Stott's custody.
