These records were presented by H.R. Goddard, Esq., to the Somerset Archaeological Society in 1901,1902,1904 and transferred to the Record Office by the Society in 1948.
Other records presented by Mr. Goddard to the Society at the same time were overlooked at the 1948 transfer and were subsequently catalogued for the Society as TN 1,2,5. They were later transferred to the Record Office with the Society's main deposit in 1958 as part of accession C/795 and are now stored as DD/SAS TN 1,2,5 [see the catalogue of this latter collection for a full description of these records, which include two maps of the roads in the Trust (1806 in TN 2) and an undated, c.1800, map in TN 2]
