Elfred Staples, as in 1-2, William Osman of East Grinstead, gent, and Abel Walter of St James, Westminster, Middlesex, esq, to William [Nevill], Lord Abergavenny Burgage tenement, portland, garden, orchard, backside, slub-or-mud-hole and lands in the town of East Grinstead
Recites: grant and confirmation by Jarvis Thorpe of Sevenoaks, Kent, plumber, to ES of reversion on deaths of himself (Thorpe) and his daughters Ann wife of Thomas Reeves of Rotherfield, clerk, Mildred wife of John Bethune of East Grinstead, surgeon, and Elizabeth Thorpe, spinster, 28 Dec 1742; conveyance of reversion of a third share by Elizabeth Thorpe of Sevenoaks to Elfred Staples, 1 and 2 Dec 1743; similar conveyance by Thomas and Ann Reeve (sic) to WO, [12 and 13] Jun [1744]; similar conveyance by John and Mildred Bethune to AW, 12 and 13 Jun 1744; that the names of ES, WO and AW were used in trust for WN
