This committee was established by the Council on 9 Nov. 1889 and the first meeting held on 29 Nov. 1889. The minutes of this committee from 1889 to 30 Jan. 1893 are contained in the Special Committees minute book, CCB/38, but from 17 Feb. 1893 the minutes are recorded separately. In Nov. 1902 this committee was amalgamated with the Town Hall Committee to become the Town Hall and Parliamentary Committee
