Letter from Nicholas Throckmorton, Raverbury [Ravensbury, Mitcham], to Sir George More, his father-in-law. He has shown his uncle 'the letter about the wards', but his uncle is unwilling 'to offer anything for the compounding for my child'. Throckmorton's prospects are uncertain and his present estate small, so that he cannot offer anything and does not know whether he will live to see his child married or not. Dated Tuesday.
