3 part indenture between Elizabeth Jones of Shrewsbury spinster, grandaughter and sole heir of Edward Jones, late of Shrewsbury esq. dec. and next and sole heir of Mary Jones late of Shrewsbury spinster dec. and only daughter of Hugh Jones late of Shrewsbury, ironmonger dec. of 1st part, Humphrey Sandford of the Isle of Up Rossall 2nd part, and Thomas Harris of Prescott esq. 3rd part. Whereas by indentures March 15th and 16th 1707 between John Bowen of Llandrinio, Montgomery, gent. one part, and Mary Jones of the other part John Bowen in consideration of £50 paid to him by Mary Jones released to Mary Jones all the parcel of arable meadow called Gwergleddu, or Gwergleddy or the Black Meadow in the township of Llandrinio late in the possession of John Bowen with all the appurtenances. To hold by Mary Jones, subject to a proviso for the redemption of the premises on the payment of £3; £3 and £53; whereas by other indentures of lease and release 5th and 6th March 1717 between Thomas Hanmer of Porkington Salop clerk one part, and Edward Jones other part, Thomas Hanmer in consideration of £250 paid to him by Edward Jones, released to Edward Jones and heirs all the capital messuage and tenement with appurtenances in Porkington, now or late in the possession of Thomas Hanmer and John Hughes, called Pentre y Daviedd, and buildings, lands, and appurtenances, and the messuage in Porkington, late in the possession of James Price with buildings, lands etc. belonging. To hold by Edward Jones subject to a proviso for redemption of the premises on payment of £6 5s. and £256 5s. Whereas by other indentures of lease and release March 23rd and 24th 1718 between William Evans of Shrewsbury esq. and Edward Jones other part, William Evans in consideration of £100 paid by Edward Jones released to Edward Jones all that messuage with appurtenances in Llandrinio, late in the possession of Arthur Rodderick with all pew seats and kneeling places belonging in the church of Llandrinio now or late in the possession of Arthur Rodderick with several parcels of land called Garddyr y Saybor, Ykaetanyty, Gwerglod Pont, Pren y Hendre, Kae Meredith, or y Kae Wrlli Bont, Yr Haime, Gwerglod Enion, Gardd Rowland, Maes y Groes, Maes y Hendre, Maes y Hirdyr, Maes y Llan Olleymilgie, Erowbigen Ucha, and Erowbigen Issa, Gwerglodd, Loury, havod yr Aukres and Kae Lea in the township of Llandrinio, and occupation of Arthur Rodderick. To hold by Edward Jones subject to the proviso for redemption of the premises on payment of £105 on March 25th 1720.

Whereas by other indentures of lease and release December 1st and 2nd 1730 between William Evans one part and Edward Jones release to Edward Jones all the messuage in Llandrinio called Tyr Tegg, and the closes, enclosures and parcels of arable, wood and pasture belonging called Maes Tan y Ty, Tyr Gleebe, Cae Maddock Coth, Gwerglodd, Maes Tan y ty, Garth y Binnion, Cae Griffith back, Dollitch, Trowstoyd, Gwergleddvawr, Ustim Pen yr Writhen Maes y Llan, Maes y Hirdire, Maes yr Hendre, and Maes yr Grosse, Errew Rednall, which premises were then in the holding of Edward Owen and John Beddow; and the tenement and lands in Llandrinio, then in the holding of John Beddow, and the messuage in Llandrinio with closes, pieces and parcels of arable, pasture or wood land belonging called Kae ys Huber, Kae yr Llyan, Cae Tan y Llarne, Gwerne, Tan y Scuber, Kae Wrth Maes a bridir, Kae Gwernegg Mawr and Kae Gwernegg Vesthan, Kae Kreen, Tyr y ty Gwynn, Gwerglodd Llewellin, Cae Maes, Gwerglodd Ddillian, a piece of land in Pompren Hendre, 3 pieces in Maes Hendre, 1 furlong in Maes yr Grosse, 2 furlongs in Maes yr Hendre, all of which lands are in Llandrinio, in the holdings of John Beddow and Tristam Mathews. To hold by Edward Jones, subject to a provision of redemption on payment of £11 and £561. Whereas by indentures of lease and release, 3 part, December 29th and 30th 1734 between John Harwood, grocer, heir and sole executor of the will of Mary Harwood late of Shrewsbury spinster, 1st part, Thomas Hanner 2nd part, and Edward Jones 3rd part, reciting that by indentures of lease and release of October 25th and 26th 1724, between Margaret Haywood executrix of Catherine Waring spinster dec. 1st part Thomas Hanmer 2nd part, and Mary Harwood 3rd part. Reciting that by indenture February 15th and 16th 1708 (release and lease) between Thomas Hanmer one part, and Catherine Waring other part, that Thomas Hanmer conveyed to Catherine Waring the messuage and land in Whittington called Penna Brynne, then in the possession of Richard Berkley yeoman, and all the messuage and land belonging in Whittington where Samuel Iveson then lived, subject to aproviso of redemption on payment of £200 and interest. Margaret Haywood in consideration of £200 paid by Mary Harwood, and Thomas Hanmer in consideration of 5s. paid, conveyed to Mary Harwood, all above mentioned premises. To hold by Mary Harwood subject to a proviso of redemption on payment by Thomas Harwood of £205 by April 16th next. Reciting that £205 was still unpaid and that Mary Harwood advanced at the request of Thomas Hanmer advanced a further sum of £100, secured to Mary Harwood by a bond October 24th, 1729, and reciting that there was now due to John Harwood, as executor of Mary, from mortgage and bond, £300; all interest being paid to the date at which Edward Jones at the request of Thomas Hanmer agreed to pay off on the recited security. Indenture of December 30th 1734 witnesses that John Harwood in consideration of £300 paid to him by Edward Jones (by consent of Thomas Hanmer) released to Edward Jones all the messuages granted by Thomas Hanmer to Catherine Waring, and by Thomas Hanmer and Margaret Haywood conveyed to Mary Harwood. To hold by Edward Jones and his heirs for ever. Thomas Hanner in consideration of £300 and 5s. paid by Edward Jones release to him the messuages, lands and premises in Whittington, then in possession of Thomas Hanner, and all other messuages etc. mentioned in the last mortgage. To hold by Edward Jones, but subject to proviso of redemption on payment of £300 and interest before December 30th next by Thomas Hanner. By indentures of lease and release, September 9th and 10th 1743, between Bridget Bridgeman of London spinster, 1st part Richard Phillips of Shrewsbury clerk 2nd part, and Edward Jones 3rd part, reciting that by indenture of lease and release June 2nd and 3rd, 1741 between Richard Phillips and Bridget Bridgman for securing to her £200 and interest, conveyance to Bridget Bridgman of all that capital messuage, grange or farm called Stirchly grange situated in Stirchly, and all the two tenements in Stirchly, belonging to the grange, and the other messuages, tenements etc. of Richard Phillips, with buildings, lands etc. belonging, subject to proviso of redemption on payment of £250 and interest. Bridget Bridgman in consideration of £218 paid to her by Edward Jones, conveyed to Edward Jones all the messuages above mentioned and Richard Phillips for consideration of £282 paid to him by Edward Jones, released all above premises, and the messuages, lands which were the estate of Richard Cookes dec. in Stirchly, except of 9 pieces of land in Stirchly called The Fishes field and the Astley furlongs and a cottage adjoining which were devised by Richard Cookes to the sons and daughters of his cousin William Whitehead. To hold by Edward Jones, subject to the proviso of redemption on payment of £11 5s. and £511 5s.. Whereas by indenture of mortgage June 1st 1744 between Richard Phillips of 1st part, and Elizabeth Jones other, reciting last indenture and reciting that Richard Phillips borrowed £200 from Elizabeth Jones, and for securing payment with interest agreed that the mortgaged estate conveyed to Edward Jones should bear security for repayment of £20 and for previous £500, and that Elizabeth Jones, until repayment should be made, should stand seised of the capital messuage etc. Whereas a marriage is to be solemnized between Humphrey Sandford and Elizabeth Jones, after which all the estate, etc. of Elizabeth Jones shall be taken for the use and benefit of Humphrey Sandford. Present indenture witnesses that for consideration of the intended marriage, and of settlement and provision to be made by Humphrey Sandford, and by indentures of lease and release between Humphrey Sandford 1st part, Elizabeth Jones 2nd part, Francis Walker of Ferny Hall and Thomas Harris 3rd part, Samuel Harwood of Cunde esq. and Edward Jeffreys of Shrewsbury gent. 4th part, William Evans, and the Rev. Leonard Hotchkiss of Shrewsbury clerk of 5th part, and in consideration of 5s. paid to Elizabeth Jones by Thomas Harris, release by Elizabeth Jones to Thomas Harris, the several messuages etc. as mentioned conveyed to Edward or Mary Jones, with the rents, reversions etc. of premises. To have and hold by Thomas Harris to several uses:- to the use of Elizabeth Jones until the marriage shall take place, after it to the use of Humphrey Sandford and his heirs, subject to the same conditions of redemption stated before. Whereas by indenture of demise and mortgage, September 3rd 1743 between Robert Tench of Newton yeoman one part, and Edward Jones the other Robert Tench in consideration of £100 paid to him by Edward Jones, demised to Edward Jones all the messuage or occupation of Robert Tench called Newton Farm in Meole Brace, and all appurtenances to hold by Edward Jones for 500 years, at pepper corn rent, subject to proviso of redemption on payment of £2 5s. and £102 5s. Whereas Thomas Hanner clerk by bond January 21st 1719 became bound to Edward Jones for £100 conditioned for payment of £50 and interest by April 22nd next, and agreed that the mortgage formerly made by him to Edward Jones of messuages in Porkington and elsewhere should stand security for the £50 and interest. Whereas Michael Reynolds brasier and Thomas Burgess pewterer, of Shrewsbury by bond November 11th 1735, bound to Hugh Jones ironmonger for £100 with condition for payment by May 11th next. Edward Lloyd of Talgarth Montgomery gent. and Margaret Lloyd spinster, by bond April 10th 1738 for £40 to Hugh Jones, payment of £20 and interest by October 10th next; Robert Burgess of Shrewsbury baker, bond for £100, November 13th 1738; payment of £50 and interest to Hugh Jones by May 13th next; Owen Vaughan of Glasceod Montgomery gent. and William Evans by bond April 16th 1742, bound to Edward Jones for £100, payment of £50 October 26th next, with interest at 4½%. Robert Tench bond to Elizabeth Jones for £40 July 25th 1744, payment of £20 August 1st next, and declared that farm called Newton farm lately conveyed to Edward Jones by mortgage for £100 and interest. Further notice that Elizabeth in consideration of the marriage, jointure and provision made and of 5s. paid to her by Thomas Harris, release of the recited lands, and of the money secured by bond, and all the personal estate of Elizabeth. To have and hold by Thomas Harris for the residue of the term of 500 years. In trust for the benefit of Elizabeth Jones until the marriage takes place, and after to the sole use and profit of Humphrey Sandford. Covenant with Thomas Harris that Elizabeth Jones will at the charges in law of Humphrey Sandford levy deeds and assurances for the better releasing all the several messuages, premises and money due to Thomas Harris.
