Other Data: Roll of Honour Vol II, Sect 1, p 165 - Portrait:only son of the late William Jessop King, Inspector, Metropolitan Police, by his wife Annie Louisa (Barton-under-Needwood), enlisted in Leics Regt as a Private, Sept 1914, served with Regt in Ireland the following year and made Sgt in 1916, being transf to MGC. Rec Commsn 25/8/17 - 2Lt MGC. Served BEF F&F from 13 Oct 1917 and was KIA north of Poelcapelle, 10th Nov. Buried where he fell. His CO wrote: "he was an excellent officer and goton well with his men. We buried him where he fell, a gallant soldiers grave". Unmarried.;
