Mr Appleton was contacted via a talk given to the Probus Club at Peel Green Community Centre on 27th Jan. 1982. These photographs, album and cigarette cards were lent for copy as a result. Mr Appleton is a collector of postcards of industrial scenes and transport, especially trains.
