The items were later divided between East and West Sussex Record Offices, according to the geographical area mentioned in each item, but maintaining their original catalogue reference number. This catalogue, therefore, contains only the East Sussex items, and the reference numbers do not form a continuous sequence. The reference numbers in this catalogue are: SAS-F/1-4, 44-103, 127-290, 383, 410, 412-433, 444-446, 455, 473, 509-544
