Mrs. Richardson's mother, Mary Yates, married James Tuite. He was a warehouseman, then entered the army. After the army he returned to his job with Sparrow Hardwicks, London Road. During the 1920s and 1930s, he helped tunnel through the Pennines and put machinery in the Daily Express offices.
