Between Sir JOHN GAGE, knt., and JOHN SEGERE whereby John S. sold to Sir John G. 20 ac. called "erable londs and leylonds," lying as follows:--3 roods at Peverells Post, late Brokeplace; 2 ac. on the Heylynk on the S. of 3 roods late Collyns; ½ ac. late Collyns at the S. end of Heylynk; 3 r. of Leylond upon the Lynk; 3 r. arable on the Lynk next Lylmere; 1 ac. in Peverells Combe; 3 r. on the N. of Peverells Combe, heading to the way from Seforde to Borne; 1 ac. on the "bank" called the Brode acre, heading to the way to Exet "churche," W.; 2 ac. called Goore acres on the said bank; 3 ac. called Gore acres at the end of the said bank; 1 ac. called "the hedd acre"; 1 ac. heading to Chesyldene; ½ ac. heading to the way from Exete Busshe to Borne, late of Brookplace; 1 ac. at Southecourt heading to the "Conny Bank," S., late Reyez; ½ ac. called Stonny half acre heading to the said acre at Southcourt, late Brookplace; ½ ac. at Exet Busshe, late Brookplace; 1 ac. in "le Furlong" and it heads to Chyseldene next the Heddlonde late Reyez; 1 ac. in the said Furlong; 1 ac. late Reyez in Chyseldene; also 31½ ac. being the part of William Seger of the Downs in "les comen Dounes" of Exet
Sir John Gage gave in exchange 24½ ac. of erable and pasture land lying as follows:--2 ac. called Drove acres to land of Brookeplace, W., to the way from Westdene to Exet, E., late of Begham; 1 ac. called the Butacre at the E. end of Reyez Combe, late of Begham; 3½ ac. at the end of the said acre, E., to the way from Seforde to Borne, S., to 2 ac. of Southcourt, N., late of Begham; 1½ ac. in the next furlong to the E., next the way from Westdene to Bechyngton, sometime Aylerds late Richard Abrooks; 1 ac. late of Anthony Sands in "le Bottom" of the next furlong to the E., to 3 r. of Collyns, N. and to 2 ac. of Brookplace, S.; 1 ac. late of Begham at Swengeway upon the Hanger of the hill, to ½ ac. of Southcourt, N. and land of Begham, S.; 2½ ac. late Peverels towards the E. end of the Lynks, to 1 ac. of Peverylls, S.; 2 ac. late Peverylls in the said furlong; 3 ac. of leylonds late of Begham in the next furlong towards the E., to land of Begham, S. and 4 ac. of Brookplace, N.; 1½ ac. late Peverylls, to 3 halfacres late Richard Abrook, N. and ½ ac. of Brookplace, S.; 1½ ac. late Richard Abrook by the way from Westdene to Bechyngton on the N. of said 3 halfacres of Peverells; 4 ac. in the next furlong towards E., to 1 ac. of the Rectory of Westdene, N. and the Downs of Begham, S. Also 32 ac. called the Dounes, of which 12 ac. lie to the leylonds of Peverylls, W. to a gore of the several Down of the said John Segeear, E., to the way from Seford to Borne, S. and to divers furlongs of arable, N.; and 20 ac. late part of Begham Downs lie to the Gore of the several Down aforesaid, W., to new dooles separating the residue of Begham Doun, E., the way from Seforde to Borne, S. and Collyns Gore, N
