Personal correspondence

This series consists of personal correspondence from a number of Clough's friends and acquaintances. File TGA 200511/1/1/1 contains letters from Clough to her father, Eric Clough-Taylor dating from the late 1920s. Files TGA 200511/1/1/2-6 consist of correspondence from a number of different people, mainly concerning minor personal matters. --- The majority of the correspondence (files TGA 200511/1/1/7-22) is from David Carr, a close friend of Clough's in the 1950s and 1960s. Much of the correspondence from Carr consists of details of his personal and domestic life. However, there are also some references to his artwork (particularly his and Clough's shared interest in industrial landscapes), his involvement with the Norwich Castle Museum and Norfolk Contemporary Art Society, and Clough's work and activities in London. The final file in this series (TGA 200511/1/1/23) contains letters from Clough to Carr containing some details of her life in London, friendships with other artists, and her work.
