Description

Annual returns giving names, professions and residence of members of the St. John's Lodge [Antients] and general correspondence relating to the running of the lodge. Includes correspondence on the appeal of Simon Solomon who was expelled from the lodge. Years 1788 - 1791, 1798 - 1802 and 1804 are not extant.

The St. John's Lodge was named and established in 1774. The meeting place of the lodge in St. John's, Newfoundland, North America is unknown until 1796 when the lodge met at the London Tavern, St. John's, Newfoundland. The lodge was erased in 1859.
