Description

Correspondence and papers of Henry Coventry, as Secretary of State, relating to plots, papists, seditious speeches and criminal charges, 1672-1680; including informations, examinations and miscellaneous matter concerning the Popish Plot and the murder of Sir Edmund Berry Godfrey. At the beginning is a copy of a warrant of the Duke of Albemarle to the Lieutenant of the Tower, 1 Sept., 1665.
