Other Data: Private No 3110 28 London Regt. ServedHome 6/1/15-10/8/15. BEF 11/8/15- 27/11/15. To be T/2Lt 28/11/15 & posted 8 KRRC. Next-of-Kin Robert Nesling (father) Chapel Rd, Tolleshunt D'Arcy, Witham, Essex. Sustained injuries at The Riding School, Grantham Nov 1916. Statement of Nesling - during horse riding exercise he injured testicles which have not been normal since. Enquiries made at Belton Hospital and Sen MO Harrowby camp - did not attend either for this acc. In Nov or any other month. Letter from Nesling - Stating left testicle swollen and removed April 1917. Hoped that this would solve problerm - did not report sick at Harrowby as wished to complete course. Duly completed and warned for overseas service. Posted BEF (94 MG Coy). In March 1917 following a trench relief he suffered acute pain in groin and went to Field Amb. Sent UK. Medical Board at 3 Gen Hosp Wandsworth 28/4/17 - permenantly unfit for further service. Relinquished Commission on grounds of ill health. Address: The Falcons, Walton, Felixstowe. Silver War Badge approved and No 149587 issued. Died 4/3/1918.;

Other Notes: NESLING, Second Lieutenant, ROBERT EDWIN, King's Royal Rifle Corps and Machine Gun Corps. 4th March 1918. Age 25. E. 3. 13A. Ipswich Cemetery - Suffolk, United Kingdom.;
