Description

The divisions numbered 27, 29 and 30 of the County Council health service lay within the area of the Doncaster Metropolitan District created in April 1974 and the archives of these were deposited by the Area Health Authority with Doncaster Archives. West Riding County Council, annual reports of the County Medical Officers of Health and School Medical Officers of Health 1910-1936, 1948-1972; Annual reports of the Medical Officers of Health for Thorne 1897-1971 (not complete); Report of Dr R Bruce Low to the Local Government Board on the River Trent in Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire and the occurrence of enteric fever 1893 (printed); Miscellaneous annual Medical Officer of Health reports 1957-1972 and publications on public health matters 1936-1974
