Memo. [in hand of Thos. Man] re. brewing or sale of malt: 26 qrs. malt at prices ranging from £1. 1s. per qr. to £1. 6s. per qr., total £28. 16s. Period covered 2 Jan. 1750/1 to 21 Sept. 1751. On back is a letter from Wm. Anderson at Westminster to [Thos. Man] Feb. 15. 1748/9: Chiefly re. sale of an estate for £150. and confusion between parties as to necessity of passing a fine and who should pay costs.
