The Claims Sub-Committee was formed in July 1937, for the purpose of adjudicating claims received in respect of houses that have been certified by the Minister of Health, as maintained within the Housing Act of 1936. The sub-committee met in July and again in December, where its name was changed to the Well Maintained Houses Sub-Committee.
