The items in section Par/3/1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, 11, 14-16, 24, 25 together with Par/3/2/1, 6/1-14, 21/4-6, were deposited by the incumbent in January 1948, May 1964, May 1966, May 1976, July 1978, April 1979, August 1981 and September 1993.
Par/3/2/2 is a photocopy made by the Record Office in March 1975.
Par/3/2/3 was presented by E. Beavis of Easebourne in October 1987.
Par/3/6/15-20 and 20/6 were presented by E. Dearden of Totnes, Devon in November 1999. Her grandfather, George Arthur Clarkson, was vicar of Amberley from 1840-1897.
The items in section Par/3/12, 13, 37, 40, 49, 51-53 together with Par/3/20/1-5, 21/1-3, 7; 30/1-5, and 54/1-5, 11-14 were deposited by the Parish Council, May 1947, June 1949, March 1956, November 1971 and October 1989.
The items in section Par/3/31 and 41 together with Par/3/40/3-5 were deposited by Worthing Rural District Council in February 1969.
Par/3/30/6 was deposited by Horsham District Council in May 1980.
Par/3/54/6-10 were deposited by the County Secretary, in March 1976. They were found among the papers of Messrs. Pepper and Sons, of Amberley Chalk Pit
