Description

Between (a) George Goring, sen. of Lewes, esq. and (b) Henry Goringe of Burton, esq., William Goringe, esq. his s. and heir, Edward Bellingham of Putney, co. Surrey, esq. and John Stempe of Lewes, gent.

Capital messuage or house in which (a) lives, in the borough of Lewes with 2 gardens, 1 curtilage called a backyard, and all houses, structures, edifices, walls and other hereditaments belonging.

To the use of (a) and Mary his w. for life, remainder to George Goringe, jun., gent., s. and heir of (a) and his male heirs, remainder to Edward Goringe, the second s. of (a) and his male heirs, remainder to Henry Goringe of Burton, and his male heirs, remainder to William Goringe the s. of Henry Goringe and his male heirs, remainder to Edward Goringe, second s. of Henry Goringe, remainder to (a) and his heirs for ever.

Note of seisin delivered to John Stempe in the name of the feoffees on 8 Jan. 1582 in the presence of Thomas Pelham, William Newton and William Farmer.
