The Depositor's family have been involved in the Regional cinema industry for three generations. This association started in the 1920's with his grandfather, Mr. James Lambert, who purchased the Palace Cinema and the Empire Cinema in Haslingden in 1920. The Palace shut in 1955, The Empire in 1966.
