The album contains a miscellaneous mix of material, which can be broken down as follows:. 1. Small snapshot views of Iraq, with a few of Iran, taken around the time of Bailey's period as political officer in Shushtar in 1917. Some of the prints show the aftermath of General's Townshend's Mesopotamia Campaign. (Prints 1-15, 27-42, 59-74, 87-102). 2. Scenes on the North-West Frontier Province, c. 1916, mainly relating to falconry, but with one portrait of Sir George Roos-Keppel and the Khan of Teri. (Prints 16-26). 3. Views in Kashmir, c. 1917. (Prints 43-52, 75-76, 85-86, 103-112). 4. Photographs taken during Bailey's Expedition to Assam and Tibet, 1913. These are duplicates (often in better condition) of photographs in Mss Eur F 157/481 (and a few from 480 and 482). (Prints 53-58, 77-84, 114-117).
