Description

File of glass negatives (and surrogate material) from a single original cardboard box. Box lid information: Ilford Special Rapid Plates. Box lid is numbered "18" and has "Irtysh, Urumchi, Kashgar, Kazakh,etc." written on it. An extra label has been stuck on the lid on which is written "General" and the number "8". The box contained fifteen glass negatives, from which (in 2004) new negatives, low contrast 'postcard' prints, and two contact sheets were generated.
