50 horse power side lever boat engine for land, with 39½ inch cylinder, 3½ foot stroke.Reverse plan of the engine house and boilers, longitudinal section of the engine, plan of the tunnel, cross-section of the engine and boiler houses, longitudinal section of the boiler. All the drawings bear letter codes.
Original Portfolio or 'Book' No. 795. Catalogue of Old Engines p. 206.
For Edward & Thomas Neale & Co. Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire. Also frequently spelt "Edward & Thomas Neal & Co." The firm had previously bought a 20 horse boat engine in 1823 [see Portfolio 5/1033].
