Draft Conveyance of the reversion in fee simple
The Governor, Assistants and Company or Society of Merchant Adventurers of the City of York to Joseph Agar of the said city, currier.
Consideration: £350
Recital of above deed.
Also reciting that:
by divers mesne assignments the premises were now vested in Joseph Agar for the residue of the term of 99 years along with certain contiguous freehold hereditaments upon trusts for sale. Joseph Agar deemed it advantageous that the reversion in fee expectant upon the said term should be purchased and lately contracted with the parties of the first part for the absolute purchase for £350 of the reversion in fee expectant upon the said term of 99 years.
All that messuage or tenement (now divided into two messuages or tenements) in Coppergate in possession of Joshua Truslove, sadler, adjoining the house belonging to the parish of St Michael Spurriergate on one side: :property late of Mr William Hauxwell cabinet maker but now vested in the said J Agar at the back :
the house late belonging to the Rev Mr Beckwith of Nun Monkton, but "now of (blank)on the other side and facing the inn formerly known by the name of "The Horse Shoe", but now called "The Yorkshireman" to the front.
Reversion of the said hereditaments now in occupation of Messrs Thorpe and Spence.
