Mr& Mrs A. Blvth, Ashgrove,
Milnathort learned that their eidesr
son Lt William Blyth, MGC
severely rounded on 2nd November and
died in liospital in France on the 7th
He served his apprenticeship with
Messrs A Jeffrey and Co., Engineers
and Shipbuilders Alloa.
Lieat Blyth joined the Scottish Home, in September
1914, and with his regiment saw service
in Gallipoili. thus early in the war
he answered his Country's call. He got
he oommission in 1916, in the M.G.C,
and went to France, his full lieutenancy
in April but, and had been through a
large number of engagements. He was
home on leave three weeks ago, being
back in France only three days, where
he received his third and fatal wounds
He was a young man of great promise
being of a genial, yet reserved disposition
and was held on high esteem by all
who knew him. Three other brothers
are on active service;

Other Notes: BLYTH, Lieutenant, WILLIAM, 46th Coy. Machine Gun Corps (Inf). Died of wounds 7th November 1918. Age 24. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Archibald Blyth, of Ashgrove, Milnathort, Kinross-shire. II. C. 24. Premont British Cemetery - Aisne, France.;
