Arrangement: The 'Material' Series is sub-divided between 'Africa' and 'Rest of the World', which is further sub-divided into Asia, Europe, America and Oceania. Items that were included in the archival deposits but had not been recorded in the War Office ledgers form an 'Addendum' to the Series, treated as an additional sub-division. Material in this latter category mainly comprises short-run copies, tracings, and original manuscript maps.
