The Society originally met in a thatched cottage in 1888. In 1889 the site opposite was bought and in 1892 a Chapel was opened. In 1905 a new church in Wimborne Road was opened. The Society amalgamated with the ex-Wesleyan Society (see NM1/S/15) in 1966. The last marriage service took place in 1967 and the building was sold in 1968.
