Description

A counterpart of a lease from Sir Henry Lingen to Jno Ward 1649 for £34.10s. of 99 years if Margaret his wife and Edward and Benjamin, his sons live so long, £3 rent, 1 cheese the best made by June st Mich: year and at death the best beast of him or the farmer of the greater part, or chattell or 40/- at election of landlord, and all duties customs, services and formerly used and suits of Court leet and Baron; provided rent not paid 28 days re-entry: not to let without consent under hand; to crop holly in winter; oak, ash and Crabtrees.

Counterpart of Sir H.Lingen's lease to Howell Walters 1649 for £39 12s., except oak ashes, holly and crabtrees for 99 years if Howell, Susan his wife and Reec the son of Reec so long live; rent £3 and best cheese to be made in June at Mich; yearly and heriot of best beast or chattell or that shall be levant and couchant or 40/- at election of landlord and customs, duties, services as formerly paid or yielded and Suit of Court Baron and leet and if rent unpaid 28 days to re-enter and not let without approval and consent under hand; liberty to crop holly and the boots to be spent on premises.

More 18th June 1712 in 11 Queen Ann or mortgage trepertite of the same premises Sir Charles Lloyd and Victoria Lloyd, dated 21st May 1 Queen Ann 1702 1 Q.Ann K Rich. More recpt. for £1000 dated 14th December 29 K Ch. II; Do: Rich. More affadavit of it being cleared 14th December 29 Ch. II.
