Work in the Accountant General's Department relating to the Company was performed by the Miscellaneous Section (see L/AG/24/8-11) which dealt with mainly the post-audit inspection of the accounts of the Company to ensure that the conditions of its agreements with the Secretary of State had been observed. The Company went into liquidation on 31 Jun 1931, from which date the lease of the mining areas was handed back to the Government of India.
