John Oldknow for £4. 8s. 3d.: John Webb debtor to John Oldknow - surveying old enclosures and coal works 10s. 6d.; surveying half of 55½a. of field land Mr. Lowes crop 13s. 9d.; paid chain leader 1s.; surveying coal works, field land and 2 enclosures £2. 2s.; attending Mr. Webb to settle the coal works £1. 1s.
Probably related to Thos. Oldknow of Nottingham, enclosure commissioner, who was active as a commissioner in at least 26 parliamentary land enclosures; the area concerned is almost certainly Strelley which was not enclosed for over another 50 years by act of 1808 and award of 1828.
